Dr. Walker received a B.S. degree in biology from Radford University in Virginia and her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. After graduation, she completed her residency at the Birmingham VA Medical Center, specializing in Low Vision Rehabilitation. Dr. Walker is a licensed and certified Optometric Physician in the State of Alabama and is a member of the American Optometric Association and Low Vision Rehabilitation Services, as well as the Alabama Optometric Association, where she currently serves as the Southeastern Society President. A native of Virginia, Dr. Walker grew up in Falls Church. She and her husband Chris have been happily married since 2005 and are active members at Covenant United Methodist Church. They enjoy spending their free time with their two sons.
